Extent: Paperback
‘Starchaser’s travels through the sky offer a child a sense of being held by something greater and bigger than their loss. The book gently concludes that life goes on, and their loved ones will live on in their memories. This is a beautiful book which is sure to provide comfort and hope to children who have experienced bereavement. It is a wonderful resource for teachers, therapists and families to help children navigate their unique and individual grief journey.’

Description
The Starchaser comes from a magical place at the other side of the sky called the Big Beyond. She travels in the trails of the night’s falling stars to reach earth. Leaving earth is not easy for those who have to go or those who are left behind but the Starchaser has a few tricks up her sleeve to help us with all that.
About the Author:
Jacintha Mullins is a primary school teacher working in the Mid-West School for the Deaf in Limerick. After losing two pupils from the school community, she sought to provide a visual and child-friendly way of explaining what had happened to give comfort and hope to the pupils, and Starchaser was born.
