Description
Nets of Wonder is a creative collaboration between Olive, a writer, Barry, an artist, and Eamon, a musician, spearheaded and inspired by Olive’s writings. Its twelve reflections are divided into four seasons, mirroring the ebb and flow of Ireland’s seasons. Each piece of writing has its own themed artwork and musical response, allowing readers to choose their own unique sensory experience.
You are invited to become a collaborator in this creative work, to unpack and unfurl these pieces according to your mood and to find your own unique path to entanglement in these nets of wonder.
About the Authors:
Olive Travers is a regular contributor to RTÉ Radio 1’s Sunday Miscellanyand a clinical psychologist. Her writing turns an incisive psychological lens on memories, travels and experiences from her rural childhood in Fermanagh and family life in Donegal, encompassing themes that are both local and universal. She has extensive television and radio experience, including appearances on the Late Late Show.
Barry Britton is a pen-and-ink artist born and bred in the hills of Donegal. He is best known for his folk festival and surfing posters. A pioneer surfer from the sixties, he is riding the wild Atlantic waves to this day.
Eamon Travers is a composer, music educator and multi-instrumentalist specialising in traditional Irish, jazz and folk music.
