Description
A Camino of Hope in the Spirit of Truth
About the Book:
The Limerick Diocesan Synod 2016 was the first synod to take place in Ireland since the Second Vatican Council and the first synod in Limerick in seventy-nine years. In the course of three days, six themes were discussed and many questions raised, including, ‘What does a synodal process look like?’
Limerick Diocesan Synod 2016: A Camino of Hope in the Spirit of Truth, carefully edited by Karen Kiely and Éamonn Fitzgibbon, comprises a series of articles outlining some of the key elements involved in the process leading up to the synod, as well as the findings and reflections from the event itself.
Examining the theme of ‘synod’, meaning ‘journeying together’, through contributions from those involved in every aspect of the event, this collection is an important celebration of the synodal process and this significant synod.
About the Editors:
Father Éamonn Fitzgibbon, a priest of the Diocese of Limerick, was the director of the Limerick Diocesan Synod 2016.
Karen Kiely has worked in a variety of administrative positions with the Diocese of Limerick and was the administrator of the Limerick Diocesan Synod 2016.
