Fighting to Find Peace: A Belfast Boxer’s Journey is a deeply personal memoir of growing up in Belfast from the height of the Troubles to a more peaceful time. As our country moves from conflict to peace, McAuley reflects on his own life experiences from fighter to finding inner peace. It is a deeply honest account of his life inside and outside the ring: the highs, the lows and the regrets.
This compelling autobiography takes the reader on a journey through McAuley’s childhood, teenage years and adulthood, his journey through boxing and what lay belong, with stories which are warm, witty and heart-breaking.
