The Bridge is a new programme designed to help parents and families to explore and articulate their own faith, and to be more confident and involved in their child’s faith formation both during the preparation for First Holy Communion and beyond. This series of ten bulletins are to be used by parents and children throughout the year of preparation for First Holy Communion. Each bulletin focuses on a different theme according to the season of the liturgical year. The bulletins give concrete ways in which parents and families can practice faith in their own homes.
Each Bridge Bulletin contains:
- An explanation of a part of the Mass with activities for children.
- An overview of this month’s theme for parents.
-Things to do this month at home, in parish and in school.
- An activity for children that brings an aspect of faith into focus.
The Bridge Bulletins are used to compliment The Bridge Faith Sessions. For more information about the faith sessions, click here.
