Mary my Mother,
I turn to you now
To be embraced by your maternal love.
You know my thoughts and worries
As an expectant mother.
You carried Jesus in your womb
You know about the anxieties and fears
The physical strain that I bear.
Grant me the grace
To be patient and calm.
You overcame your fears
With love of God.
You overcame your worries
By embracing his will.
Being a mother filled your heart
With the joy of God’s love.
And so, Mary my Mother,
Hold my hand as I ask Jesus
To walk with me for these nine months,
And give me the courage to carry
The blessing of motherhood with joy.
My Blessed Mother, pray for me.
