Our Light and Our Help: Prayers for the Sick is a book that will bring comfort and inspiration to those who are coping with illness: family, friends, carers, medical staff and the sufferers themselves. Inspired by the psalms, the prayers are simple, meaningful and honest, becoming a companion in times of need. They were written to bring comfort, but also to permeate our approach to sickness with hope and confidence. This little book can be kept with you at all times, whether on a bedside locker, a bookshelf or in a bag. Simple and meaningful, it celebrates compassion, love and the gifts God has bestowed on us.

OUR LIGHT AND OUR HELP - PRAYERS FOR THE SICK REVIEWED BY BISHOP EDWARD DALY
It is my experience that nearly everyone who has a prolonged illness and those sitting at their bedside like to have a little book with prayers that they can read or dip into when they feel the need to pray or to reflect , prayers that they can read alone or read to others.
This book meets that need. It is full of prayerful thoughts and thoughtful prayers. As the title suggests, Noelle Lamberts prayers and thoughts are based on the psalms, the most wonderful collection of prayers ever written. The prayers contained in this book are simple and pertinent.
I am sure that it will bring much comfort to many sick people, their families and friends.
