Dr Kenneth McAll. (1910-2001) was born in China and graduated in medicine from Edinburgh University. He returned to China as a missionary-surgeon and was interned by the Japanese, with his wife and child, for four years during the Second World War. His experiences in China led to his taking an interest in the powers of possession, and he subsequently devoted his life to the curing of psychiatric illness through divine guidance. After returning to the UK, he spent ten years in general practice and twenty-five practising as a consultant psychiatrist. He was an associate member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and wrote both articles and books on the subject of mental illness and the healing powers of the Eucharist.
