Jeff Young's Catholic Foodie apostolate remains one of my favorite resources for nurturing and encouraging Catholic families. As a frequent listener to Jeff's show and someone who has had the opportunity to work in partnership with Jeff, I've seen firsthand the impact of his work on individuals and families. This cookbook provides yet another facet to his service on behalf of the Church and families. I can't wait to share it with our CatholicMom.com family and to see the impact it will have on individuals and families.

The combination of a spiritual pilgrimage to the Holy Land with recipes from many of the local areas visited is a rare treat in a cookbook. It provides double flavor: spiritual food and tasty dishes.
- Bishop Sam Jacobs, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux

Jeff understands the trifecta of food, family, and friends. He uses his own family's experiences to encourage people to share the gift of preparing and eating a meal together - and then to cherish the bonds that are developed in this, the heart of our homes. His recipes feature fresh, seasonal ingredients, and there is something for the novice cook and the experienced culinarian alike.

If you know how to cook, you'll love this book. Or if you're like me, and only know how to eat, you'll love giving this book as a gift to someone who can cook these meals for you. Makes me hunger for a trip to the Holy Land... and a trip to Jeff's table.

Jeff has a love for life and the wonderful things God has given us. It is not only contagious, but it resonates in everything he does, especially when he talks about food. So when you combine Jeff's passion for food with the mouth-watering foods of the Holy Land, well, it's a recipe for AWESOMENESS! One of my favorite places in the Holy Land is Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle: turning water into wine at a wedding. For me, this miracle says so much about how God wants us to be happy and enjoy the yummy things in life, and it is this very perspective from which Jeff presents this delectable array of recipes. Reading this book is like having Jeff sit next to you in the kitchen, chit-chatting while he shows you how to make magic. If you've been to the Holy Land, it's a great way to remember all of the scrumptious foods you had when you were there; and if you haven't been, you'll want to go after you make just a few of these delectable recipes. Start with the pita, then add the hummus. Mix up a little fattoush, and I'll be right over!
